STEM Summer Institute 2026

I’m Vryann James L. Sison, a STEM educator at a rural, American Indian‑serving high school in Hardin, Montana. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Biological Science from Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc. in the Philippines and a Master of Education in STEM Education from the American College of Education. My work centers on designing accessible, inquiry‑driven, and culturally responsive science instruction through a ladderized approach to NGSS implementation. I collaborate with MSU’s Science Math Resource Center (SMRC) and MSU QCORE, supporting statewide STEM initiatives and helping bring quantum learning and cognitive‑science‑based strategies into the classroom. Beyond teaching, I coach students in Science Olympiad and the NASA ROADS Challenges, providing authentic opportunities to apply scientific and engineering practices. In the upcoming school year, I will also teach dual‑enrollment astronomy, bridging high school learners toward college‑level STEM pathways.
