About me
Acer Pitas is a resource teacher with over a decade of experience dedicated to building student confidence and resilience. Holding advanced training in both early childhood and mathematics education, Acer focuses on empowering students through hands-on initiatives that nurture personal growth and community contribution. At the state and national levels, Acer actively advances the field by sharing educator resources, reviewing research, and evaluating educational content standards and assessments. At this year's Montana Summer Science Institute, Acer will present an interdisciplinary STEM project that guides elementary students through an investigation of simple fire's effects on Eastern Montana soil, air, and plant life, demonstrating how inquiry, real data, and technology like Makey Makey create accessible, meaningful learning for all students.
